About Amazon Packages

Let Amazon Know to Deliver During the Mail Center's Open Hours

For a better experience receiving Amazon packages on campus, use the following steps to specify that Amazon should deliver packages to the Student Mail Center Monday-Friday between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Sign in to your Amazon account.

  1. Click on Accounts & Lists and select Your Addresses.
  2. Find your default delivery address or add a new one.
  3. Under Delivery preferences, you can specify:
    1. Preferred delivery days and times (if available).
    2. Instructions for where to leave the package (e.g., front door, locker, mailroom).
    3. Whether to allow deliveries without ringing the doorbell.
  4. 4. Click Save to apply the changes.

Using the Amazon App

  1. Open the Amazon app and tap on your profile icon.
  2. Select Your Orders > Manage Delivery Options on an upcoming order.
  3. Choose your preferences, like a safe drop-off location or specific time slots (if offered).
  4. Confirm the changes.

If you're an Amazon Prime member, some locations even let you schedule deliveries more precisely with Amazon Day Delivery or Amazon Hub Lockers.

Expecting an Amazon Package?

Even if you have received a notification from Amazon saying your package was delivered, we may not have received it. If we have your package, the Student Mail Center will send a separate notification via email within 24 hours letting you know it’s time to pick it up.

If you do not receive a notification from the Student Mail Center, but Amazon says your package is delivered, you should:

  1. Notify the Student Mail Center by sending an email to [email protected] with your tracking number AND order number.
  2. Notify Amazon that the delivery was not made and cancel the missing order.
  3. Re-order the product and restart the process.
