Policy
Columbia Mail shall not be liable for lost/damaged mail and/or packages after delivery to rooms or pickup by students at the Student Mail Center. Upon receipt from the courier, Columbia Mail will inventory and take photos of mail/packages that arrive damaged or opened and send an email notification to the student on the same day.
Property Insurance
The University strongly recommends that students purchase insurance for mail and/or packages when shipping/mailing items that are fragile or have high value. Itemizing contents with proof of value is also recommended for processing claims in the event of lost or damaged shipments.
